If you really want to be part of the green living society and are serious about every aspect of your life being environmentally friendly, consider the advantages of the electric car. Since this car runs on an electric motor as opposed to a gasoline engine, the best news about it is that it is 100 percent emission-free. While gasoline-operated cars pollute the air each time they are driven, driving an electric car or EV (electric vehicle) promotes clean air. With rising gas prices at the pump, even those not as concerned about the environment are considering the purchase of a vehicle that costs less to fuel. The undeniable advantages of this battery-electric vehicle (BEV) has over it and over gasoline-fueled cars include higher efficiency by as much as 400 to 600 percent over an internal combustion engine; no polluting byproducts because this car gets its power from batteries, the wind or the sun; three times as efficient as gas engines; they are s extremely safe and compact; gets better mileage than any other car on the road; they are quiet to drive, convenient and durable.

In its bid to make Iloilo City an investment haven in this part of the country, property giant Megaworld has strategically positioned its 72-hectare Iloilo Business Park (IBP) to be at the center of it all. Serving as the catalyst which triggered the investment boom the city is experiencing in the past few years, Megaworld has also set sights in making Iloilo City as an international MICE (meetings, incentive, conferences, exhibitions/events) destination. The iconic Iloilo Convention Center located in the heart of IBP will serve (and has served) as the city's MICE showcase hosting big events like the APEC Summit in 2015. Richmonde Hotel Iloilo is the first of two hotels Megaworld has launched to complement this "Iloilo City as MICE destination" thrust.
And set to open within the first half of 2018 is an iconic hotel brand recognized around the world - Marriott. It will be another first in the region (and the only two outside Metro Manila) brought by the property giant.
